My Inspiration

I’ve always enjoyed to write, but writing requires passion. If you’re not passionate about your writing, how will you stay motivated? And most important of all: who will be passionate about reading what you’ve wrote? No one.

Lots of people have inspired me in my life, and have inspired me to write this blog.

John Morgan was probably my first inspiration. He authored the (still) phenomenal Seattle Seahawks blog Field Gulls, before he left and was replaced by the also epic Danny Kelly. John is a supremely talented writer with a keen eye for football, and a genuinely good guy. He wrote a heckuva great book, too: 100 Things Seahawks Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die. His last chapter, #100, was “Write a Book”. A few weeks after I finished his book, this blog was birthed. (Blog … book … same thing). So thanks, John!

There are a lot of people I’ve grown to love on Twitter, as well. Guys like @Hawkblogger, the aforementioned Danny Kelly (@FieldGulls), Scott Enyeart (@scottenyeart), Adam Wright (@Seahawk_Talk), Johnny Peel (@DKSB17), and many others. These are all genuinely great people first and foremost, but also smart football minds with a passion for the Seattle Seahawks.

And of course, my wife Meghan. Despite our busy lives with never enough time to spend together, she always encouraged me to start this blog, and urged me to write once I did. She’s a wonderful woman, and for that I’ll always be thankful.

I had realized that my passion (read: fanaticism) for the Seahawks was staring me in the face these past years, yet I had never once thought to start a blog and write about the Seahawks.
